From Engineering to Installation – Another Turnkey Refractory Project

We are currently working on another major refractory project in Germany, close to the Czech border. The project involves the complete refractory lining of a biomass gasification unit.

We provide a complete solution – from engineering and technical design through material supply to installation on site.

Complete Refractory Package

Our scope of work includes:

• basic and detailed engineering developed together with the customer,
• design and selection of refractory and insulation materials,
• supply of refractory and insulation materials,
• design and supply of anchoring systems and expansion joints,
• installation of the complete refractory lining system on site.

The gasification unit consists of two refractory-lined vessels – a gasification chamber and a combustion chamber. Each chamber requires a carefully designed combination of refractory bricks, insulation layers, anchoring systems and expansion joints.

The refractory system must withstand demanding thermal and mechanical operating conditions and ensure a long service life of the lining.

Biomass Gasification

In the process, the gasification chamber produces raw gas, which is then controlled and combusted in a separate combustion chamber depending on the operating mode of the unit.

The generated energy can be used for heat, electricity or steam production, or for further technological use of the generated synthesis gas.

One Partner for the Complete Project

This project is a good example of our integrated approach to refractory projects. We provide the customer with one partner for the complete process – from the first engineering calculations and technical documentation, through material selection and supply, to the final installation and completion of the refractory lining on site.
